Collins, MS–April 24, 2015–Peoples Bank celebrated Friday with a Ribbon Cutting at the newest addition to downtown Collins.
It was a day full of festivities, CD specials, giveaways and hourly door prizes.  As the doors opened at 9:00, the first 100 guests were greeted with free t-shirts, warm smiles, joyful violin music, fresh flowers, and amazing brunch foods.
At the ribbon cutting event, held at 10:00, chamber and city officials spoke kind and welcoming words. Covington County Miss Hospitality, Allison Humphrey, made her first official appearance to cut the ribbon. Many elected officials, chamber members, and a community of supporters joined in to help celebrate this monumental event.
BBQ lunches began at 11:00, feeding around 450 people.  B95 set up a live broadcast during the lunchtime hours and brought along their fuzzy mascot, Buzzy the Bee.

Veterans, caregivers, and Veterans Outreach members arrived for a reception at 2:00 in the 2nd floor community room. Peoples Bank VP and Veteran, Doug Rogers, presented the Veterans Outreach with a check for $2,000.
