Jason Smith Promoted to Loan Officer at Peoples Bank, Puckett
Peoples Bank President and CEO Dennis Ammann announced today the promotion of Jason Smith to Loan Officer at the Puckett Branch.
Born and raised in Puckett, Smith graduated from Puckett High School in 1993. After earning his Associates Degree from Hinds County Community College, he joined Byars Appraisal as a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser from 1997-2012. He began working at Peoples Bank in 2012 as the Real Estate Officer, located in Magee.
Smith is a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he serves as a Royal Ambassador teacher and on the Building and Grounds Committee. He and his wife, Kim, have two children: Blair, 11 and Will, 7. Smith and his children have been very involved in the Simpson County Junior Livestock Association, where both children show animals each year.
“Jason’s strong concern for Puckett’s growth and progress make him the perfect choice to serve as a Lender in his hometown. He personally knows the community and their needs.” said Dennis Ammann, Peoples Bank CEO.
Jim Todd Joins Peoples Bank
Peoples Bank President and CEO Dennis Ammann today announced that Collins native James W. (Jim) Todd will be returning to his hometown as a Loan Officer in the bank’s Collins Office.
Todd brings to Peoples Bank more than two decades of management and sales experience, most recently as Market Manager for C-Spire Wireless in Magee, Mississippi, with whom he has been affiliated since 2000. Prior to that time, he served as a Buyer and Department Manager for the J.C. Penney Company, Inc.
He was Valedictorian of the 1987 Collins High School graduating class and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in Banking and Finance, from Mississippi State University in 1991. Todd has been active in Relay For Life and has served as President of the Magee Lions Club.
“Being able to blend people skills with management experience will serve Jim well in his new role with our bank,” Ammann said. “Our customers in Collins will be well-served, as will the community in general, by his efforts and abilities. We are pleased to welcome Jim to the Peoples Bank family.”
